Andi Korita Studio: Where Architecture Meets Art
This article is adapted from a feature in the December 2024 edition of Trailblazing Magazine, which highlighted standout architects and designers across Europe. Among them was Albania-based architect Andi Korita, whose thoughtful, human-centered approach continues to shape some of the most inspiring spaces in the region.
For over 15 years, architect and interior designer Andi Korita has been creating spaces that feel as good as they look. Based in Tirana, Albania, his studio has delivered more than 250 projects, ranging from residential homes and hospitality venues to healthcare environments and cultural institutions.
“Every project begins with listening,” Andi explains. “Understanding how people live, what they need, and what they dream of; that’s where real design starts.”
At the heart of Andi’s philosophy is the belief that architecture is more than structure; it’s a living experience. For him, design is an ongoing dialogue with space, materials, and the people who inhabit it. Each detail is refined over time, always aiming for a result that feels effortless and deeply personal.
One of the studio’s most memorable projects is the Debussy Art Gallery in Tirana. Although modest in size, Andi saw it as an opportunity to create something bold. Using rotating panels and floating partitions, the gallery became a dynamic space that evolves with every exhibition.
“In small spaces, creativity becomes essential,” he says. “We wanted movement, surprise, flexibility and art to breathe freely.”
The studio operates with a flexible structure: a core in-house team and a network of trusted collaborators, including lighting designers, landscape architects, and international partners. This allows them to take on projects of various scales, always delivering tailored and multidisciplinary solutions.
“Design is never a solo effort,” Andi adds. “It’s a collaboration with the client, with the site, with the materials. The more open the process, the stronger the result.”
Whether it’s a peaceful home, a modern office, or a health-focused clinic, Andi’s goal remains the same: to design spaces that inspire, serve, and connect.
“Good design is not only about form; it’s about how people feel in the space. Light, materials and flow all play a role in shaping that emotional connection.”
As his studio expands internationally, Andi continues to draw inspiration from different cultures and perspectives, always rooted in the timeless idea that architecture should elevate human experience.
